Directions to No 13 Holiday CottageFrom the North or East via Bridgewater
This takes you along a pleasant north costal route. Leave the M5 at junction 23, heading into Bridgewater. (Alternatively take Junction 24, following the signs to Minehead.) Take the A39 through Minehead and Porlock to Lynmouth. (This route includes Porlock Hill with a gradient of 1:4. A toll road bypassing it is available at Porlock if you prefer.) Carry on along this road, you will pass some toilets on the left hand side carry on down Countisbury Hill. Just before the bottom of the hill you will see the sign for the Tors Hotel Tors Road can be found at the bottom of the hill on the left hand side before the bridge over the river. Carry on down Tors Road keep to the right and go down the hill. “No 13” can be found on the left hand side. Alternative Routes from the North or East and from much of the South of England This route avoids the more congested coastal route and the steep hills but involves more miles. Leave the M5 at junction 27 following the A361 towards North Devon and Banstaple. After approximately 25 miles turn right onto the A399 signposted Lynton. After approximately 12 miles turn right on the A39 signposted Lynton. After approximately 6.5 miles at Barbrook turn left towards Lynton. Keep going on this road now signposted Lynmouth, turn right and go down the steep hjll, you have now reached Lynmouth. Carry on over the river bridge and Tors Road can be found on the right hand side immediately after the bridge. Keep to the right on Tors Road go down the hill. “No 13” can be found on the left hand side. From South Devon or the West Approach Lynton on the A39. At Barbrook turn left towards Lynton. Keep going on this road now signposted Lynmouth, turn right and go down the steep hjll, you have now reached Lynmouth. Carry on over the river bridge and Tors Road can be found on the right hand side immediately after the bridge. Keep to the right on Tors Road and go down the hill. “No 13” can be found on the left hand side. |
